Nurse Tempo — Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 24, 2026
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BMB Ventures, LLC, doing business as "Nurse Tempo" ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Nurse Tempo mobile app and website (the "Service"). Nurse Tempo is an educational and productivity tool for nurses and nursing students.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Use.
1. The short version
- Nurse Tempo is an educational support tool, not a medical device and not a source of medical advice.
- The Service is not designed to receive Protected Health Information (PHI). You must remove patient identifiers before entering anything. See Section 4.
- We collect the minimum needed to run the Service: your account email, content you choose to submit to the AI features, and basic usage/diagnostic data.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs.
- Some features send the text or photos you submit to our backend (`api.brainsheets.org`) and an AI processing provider so we can generate a response.
2. Who we are
The Service is operated by BMB Ventures, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company, doing business as "Nurse Tempo," 116 Agnes Rd, Ste 200, Knoxville, TN 37919, USA. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@nursetempo.com.
3. Information we collect
a) Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication data through our authentication provider (Supabase). If you sign in with a one-time email link or password, that provider processes your credentials. We may store a basic profile record associated with your account.
b) Content you submit to AI features. Several tools let you paste text (for example, de-identified shift notes, draft documentation, lab values, a medication list, or a résumé) or capture a photo (for example, a rhythm strip, a wound, or a written report). When you run one of these tools, that content is transmitted to our backend and an AI processing provider to generate a result. You control what you submit. Do not submit PHI (see Section 4).
c) On-device data. Most of your activity stays on your device. Favorites, recently used tools, checklist progress, calendar and pay settings, and similar preferences are stored locally on your device (and in your browser's local storage on the web) and are not, by default, transmitted to us.
d) Usage and diagnostic data. We collect limited usage information needed to operate and protect the Service — for example, counts of how many times AI features are used (to enforce fair-use limits) and basic technical/diagnostic information.
e) Payment information. If you purchase a paid subscription, payment is processed by the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not receive or store your full payment-card details; we receive confirmation of your subscription status.
f) What we do NOT do. We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
4. Protected Health Information (PHI) and your professional obligations
Nurse Tempo is a personal, educational tool for clinicians. It is not intended to create, receive, store, or transmit PHI, and we do not act as a HIPAA "covered entity" or "business associate" for you by default.
You are responsible for de-identifying any clinical information before entering it. Do not enter patient names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, room numbers tied to an identity, faces, or any other identifier. The app reminds you of this at the point of entry. If your employer has policies governing the use of apps or AI tools with clinical information, you must follow them.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account;
- generate results from the AI features you choose to use;
- process subscriptions and enforce fair-use limits and prevent abuse;
- diagnose problems and improve the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
6. How information is shared
We share information only as described here. We do not sell personal information.
- Service providers (subprocessors). We use vendors to run the Service, including: Supabase (authentication and account data); our AI processing provider (to generate results from the content you submit); our hosting and infrastructure providers; and the Apple App Store / Google Play (distribution and payments). These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms. A current subprocessor list is available at https://www.nursetempo.com/subprocessors.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
7. AI features — how your submitted content is handled
When you use an AI-powered tool, the text or photo you submit is sent to our backend (`api.brainsheets.org`) and to our AI processing provider to produce a response. We instruct you not to submit PHI; please review Section 4.
8. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterward as needed for legal, security, and backup purposes. You may request deletion as described in Section 9.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To request access to or deletion of your account and data, email hello@nursetempo.com, or use the in-app Delete account option (Me → your account). Deleting your account permanently erases your data from our servers and cancels any subscription. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law.
On-device data can be cleared at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app (web: clearing your browser storage).
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for nursing professionals and students and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@nursetempo.com.
12. International users
We operate the Service in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries with different data-protection laws.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice.
